You’re More Loved Than You Know

A friend of mine sent this to me, and I found it so encouraging. I hope you will, too. Oh, and feel free to share this post with others to also give them a loving lift.

1. At least two people in this world love you so much they would die for you

2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.

3. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.

4. Every night, someone thinks about you before they go to sleep.

Believing Is Seeing

It’s easy to let the images the world portrays as perfect cause us to cast away our confidence and wallow in self-doubt. It’s easy if we believe everything we see. But you and I both know that seeing is not always believing, especially when it comes to outward appearances.

A Peace That Surpasses All Understanding

You believe God gave you a mission—a job to do. But it frightens you.

On the one hand, you know it’s divinely special that God has chosen you in such a special way to do specific work in the world for his glory and honor. But on the other hand, you have so many questions and concerns about it.

“Why me?” you ask yourself. “How do I know it’s really the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart and not that other spirit leading me astray? What if I fail? What will people say?”

Peace Tip: Live Victoriously

When we’re afraid of something, our first impulse is to run or fight. Either option gives what we fear more power than it deserves, and in the midst of our reacting to it, we’re not seeing it for what it really is—a distraction from our joy and peace. But when we stop and stare our fears down toe-to-toe, we see that even our worst fears not only can be conquered, but that they are powerless, and we are victorious.

5 Ways Overcome Problems Before They Start

I read a lesson in A Course in Miracles recently that said, "Let me remember my problems have been solved." It took me a little while to really see what this meant, but I think I get it now. God's love is the solution to all our problems. Not just some of them, but all of them. We need only remember and trust this truth.

It's tempting sometimes to feel that one problem is bigger, more difficult or less forgivable than another problem, but all problems are ultimately the same—fear. And as 1 John 4:18 reminds us, "There is no fear in love." The two cannot coexist.

That means that when we appear to be experiencing problems, we are choosing fear, and we are not remembering to trust and choose love. All that is needed is a shift of perspective to remember that God loves us, and his love is the solution to all our problems.

Seek Simple Inspiration

It’s amazing how many simple things can provide us the inspiration we need to help us get through the day when we let them. It can be anything at any given moment, depending on how open we are to being inspired in that moment.

For instance, at times, trees really inspire me. I look at them standing so tall and strong with their feet so deeply rooted.

Most of them bend but don’t break (at least not from natural causes) even in the most adverse circumstances.

The Beauty of Being Still

Stillness is not necessarily long hours of prayer and meditation, although that’s good, too. It’s also tuning into the quiet calmness inside you underneath whatever turbulence that’s occurring in your day.
