Big victories are easy to recognize as a cause to celebrate. It’s the small stuff that’s often overlooked because you may be thinking, “Ah shucks, it was nothing.” But even a small victory is still a victory. It’s a breakthrough for you that should also be celebrated. Nothing complicated. Here are 10 ways you can keep it simple.
- Buy yourself a balloon that says, “You go girl!”
- Send yourself an email congratulating yourself.
- Allow yourself to stop and listen to your favorite CD all the way through without interruption.
- Have a glass of wine and drink a toast to yourself at dinner.
- Write how you feel about your victory in your journal or on a pad for future reference.
- Call someone who cares and tell them about your breakthrough.
- Make your favorite breakfast, and eat it in bed as your reward meal.
- Treat yourself to that new movie you’ve been dying to see.
- Take a candlelit bubble bath.
- Make your favorite desert and share it with a friend to commemorate the moment.
